Domaine de Villegeai

DESCRIPTION

The Domaine Quintin is a single vineyard wine and an Estate bottled wine produced by the Quintin family. Domaine created in 1991 by François and Michel Quintin on old abandoned vineyards.

In 1995, my brother and I bought a building with a vaulted cellar built in 1900 in which we installed modern equipment (temperature-controlled tanks, automatic bottling machine, etc.).

We have since planted vines every year and now boast a production area of 10 hectares.

This appellation is located on the eastern edge of the Loire Valley northeast of Sancerre and north of Pouilly-Fume. The vineyard is located on the slopes of the river Loire.

The “Coteaux du Giennois” vineyard was granted AOC status in 1998, which guarantees the consumer a high-quality wine (standards and controls).

Our white “Coteaux du Giennois” is made uniquely from the “sauvignon” grape variety and our region is renowned for producing the best sauvignons in France like the neighbouring Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé.
